CHINA'S STRUGGLE
SACRIFICE STILL NEEDED

CHUNGKING, April 1
Marshal Chiang Kai-shek, in a speech at a plenary session of the Kuomintang Executive, 'said that although the military crisis in the war with Japan had definitely ended, the Chinese should not be too optimistic and must be prepared for greater sacrifices, since the economic front must bear 70 per cent, of the war burden.
He condemned the Kuomintang for drifting from the people and losing5 the revolutionary spirit, which must be revived.
