ARGUMENT OVER FARE
Gilbert Glazbrodk, a seaman, aged 25, charged with using obscene language, and John Bourne Drake, a labourer and fireman, aged 25, charged with obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty, appeared before Mr. J. L.' Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, and were each fined £2. Senior-Sergeant G. J. Paine said that the men, with two companions, had hired a taxi and refused to pay the fare, creating quite a disturbance. Glazbrook used the language complained about, and the other man used a certain amount of obstruction while he was being taken in charge. They were under the influence ,of liquor. Mr, F. W. Ongley said that it was- unfortunate that Drake got dragged into the trouble. The amount of obstruction was veryslight.
