OBSTRUCTED POLICE

After creating a disturbance at the railway station, Arthur William Carruthers, a motor-driver, aged 22, gave a constable who spoke to him a considerable amount of cheek, refused to move on, and was finally arrested, said Senior-Sergeant G. J. Paine in the Magistrate's Court today, when Carruthers appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout,'S.M., and pleaded guilty to obstructing Constable E. S. Tuck in the execution of his duty. He was fined £1. The defendant said that the constable bullied him and pushed him around.
