USE OF CORRUGATED IRON
Restrictions on the Use of corrugated iron for dwelling houses is imposed by a notice published in the Gazette issued this week. No local authority is to issue a permit for the erection of a dwelling involving the use of galvanised corrugated iron without the previous consent of the Building Controller. In cases where no building permit is required from a local authority, no person is to commence the erection of such a dwelling- except in accordance with a permit issued by the Building Controller. This action has ben taken under the authority of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations and the Building Emergency Regulations.
