GOLFERS' MEMBERSHIP TICKETS

Only 90 of the 335 clubs affiliated to the New Zealand Golf Council favour the introduction of the compulsory membership ticket system, it was stated at the monthly meeting of the New Zealand Golf Association. One of the reasons put forward for its adoption at the association's annual, meeting was that the compulsory production of tickets by visitors would prevent those who belonged to no club whatever from enjoying club privileges while travelling about the country. On the other hand, the possession of a club membership ticket would entitle a travelling golfer to any club's privileges without the necessity for a pei-sonal introduction.
