FOR THE AIR FORCE

NEW TRAINING COURSE

(British Official Wireless.) (Received February 1, 1.30 p.m.)

RUGBY, January 31,

The recently-announced scheme for pre-entry training for the R.A.F. for lads over sixteen will be carried a stage further tomorrow, with the inauguration of the Air Training Corps, of which 200 squadrons have already been formed. The commandant is Air Commodore J. A. Chamier. Members of the corps will have the opportunity of pursuing one out of seven different technical courses. The first instruction will probably begin on Monday. London has already in course of formation twenty squadrons of the A.T.C. out of the seventy-two allocated to the capital. '
