THE HOMELESS POOR

The Minister of Health, Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald, acknowledged with' gratitude the gift of 100 blankets and 100 children's sleeping bags for homeless poor of the bombed areas with sincere sympathy and admiration for the heroic stand from sympathisers in the city and county of Cork. Further gifts from the Colonial Empire include another^ instalment of £9000 by Nigeria, another £5000 from the Gold Coast, £300 from St. Vincent, in the Windward Islands, £1500 from Barbadoes, and £3000 from Trinidad.
