DEATH IN HOSPITAL

Mrs. Marjory Livingston. Hofion, who lived at 333 The Terrace,, died in the Wellington Hospital at about 7 a.m. yesterday. She 'was taken to the hospital last Thursday morning from the foreshore at Oriental Bay, where she was found unconscious at about 8.30 a.m., suffering from head injuries, the result of an assault. Mrs. Horton visited friends at Lower Hutt on Wednesday night, and left there to catch a bus for Wellington.

Meantime the Coroner (Mr. W. G. Mellish) this afternoon opened the inquest on Mrs. Horton.

Captain Mervyn Wilmot Horton, of the New Zealand Military , Forces, stated that the deceased was his wife. She was 49 years of age.

Chief Detective J. Young appeared for the police.

The inquest was adjourned.sine die.
