• * :•■■■■ Mischa Levitzki, as a result of a heart attack.

Mischa Levitzki was born in Kremenchurg, Russia, in 1898, and studied the piano under Professor Michailowsky in Warsaw. Later he went to New York and worked under Sigismund Sojowski from 1907 to 1911, and then to Berlin, where his studies were continued with Erno Dohnahyi. In 1914, a year before he left Dohnariyi, he made his debut in Berlin and later he toured Belgium, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Scandinavia, Italy, France, and the United States. He visited Australia and New Zealand in 1921 and again, in 1931. He was also a composer of piano pieces.
