GERMAN "PEOPLE'S CAR"
SUBJEGT COUNTRIES INVITED TO PAY
LONDON, January I.' The latest chapter in the story of the German "people's car," which was to be so cheap that almost everybody could buy it, is that the ~ inhabitants of the Czech and Slovak territories have been invited to start laying aside weekly instalments.
The working people of Germany were paying instalments for years before the war, but none of them ever saw the car. No one outside Germany knows what has happened to the workers' money, and even now the Nazis cannot give even an approximate date when the cars will be ready;
