KINDERGARTEN PROVES GLASS IN G.N. DERBY
Exceptional holiday weather favoured all meetings held in the Dominion yesterday, and, despite the fact that fields were generally smaller than usual, the totalisator returns were up everywhere. It has been a boom period for racing and trotting, with figures approaching those of the. peak year after the last war. The racing was good, and favourites on the whole came into their own, particularly in the more important events. The outstanding performance of the day was Kindergarten's Great Northern Derby win in race record time.
