LONDON, December 13.
The Thai High Command report? to* day that attempts by the French, to penetrate into Thailand from IndoChina by land and air have been repelled. A guerrilla party, including two elephants, made a futile attempt to cross into Thai territory to gather supplies. Another message from Bangkok says that a civilian official on the Thai general staff and a major on the active list have been arrested on a charge of selling secret military plans to the French. Bangkok radio todayissued a warning to the population of Thailand against "fifth column" activities. LONDON, December 13. From Hanoi it is reported that tha French, in a "reprisal air raid,* dropped 24 bombs on Muk, in Thailand, west of Savannakhet. Some hit an airfield. Two incendiary bombs struck the porch of the Governor's house. Thai planes on Wednesday bombed Saravane and Savannakhet.
