TAURANGA TRIALS
SAILING IN EVANS BAY
Three more trial races to find Wellington's representative in the national yachting contest for Tauranga class yachts were sailed in Evans Bay yesterday in perfect yachting weather. C. Gibson in The Pup won all races. One race sailed on Saturday was won by W. Wagstaff in Little Man, and a final trial is to be sailed next Saturday. Results of yesterday's racing aro as follows :— Second race, triangular course, with extra windward leg; start 10.45 a.m. Finishing times: — The Pup (C. Gibson), llh 2Um 20s 1 Littlo Man (\V. Wagstaff), llh 28ra 30s .. 2 Zeta (,T. Casey), llh 31m 15s 3 Doreen (B. Casey), 4; Pee Wco (E. Eanish). 5. Third race, start 2 p.m.; course windward and leeward. Finishing times: — The Pup, 2h 4Gm J Zeta, 2h 49m 10s g Doreen, 2h 49m 35s ..• rf Little Man, 4; Pee Wee, 5.
