TIMBER TRADE.
The State forest service reports values of timber imports for September as follows: —Australia, £ 16,807; Japan, £13,833; Canada, £420; United States, £432. Exports: Australia, £8028; Pacific Islands, £2408, of which £2372 was pinus insignis for fruit cases. Kauri exports to Australia were of the value of £399 and to the islands £17, in all £416. i
