SMALL SUMS MOUNT UP

In addition to a number of private firms and individuals who have responded splendidly to the call for patriotic funds by giving regularly, there are three bodies of State employees who have also done so, and their respective totals as the result of the method they have adopted of systematic giving to help the men overseas provide notable examples of how small sums mount up.

The three bodies referred to are the railway employees, members of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, and members of the Public Service Association. Each of these sections during the last five or six months has been contributing regularly by small deductions from pay to the patriotic funds. Among them they have contributed £7003 7s 3d. A total of £2753 6s 5d has come from the Public Service Association, £2150 0s jlOd from the railway employees, and £2100 from the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association.
