ONSLOW CENTURIES

Doing well for itself and the game in having six teams in this season's W.C.A. competitions, the Onslow Cricket Club has made an auspicious beginning in the matter of results. It was successful in five of its six engagements last Satux*day, the results giving Onslow 101 club championship points for the series—not a bad performance for a junior club. The second, fourth, and fifth grade teams secured outright wins, the seventh grade team had a first innings win, and the third grade team a win, by default.

Incidentally, the club provided the first century-maker of the season in the lower grades. R. Crotty, by dint of hard hitting, rattled up 109 not out for the seventh grade team, who. when the last wicket fell in their opponents' second innings, required only four runs for an outright win. . Unfortunately it was then 6.30, so they could not go in again. It is hard luck for the club that Crotty will not be available again for some months, he having left this week for a Territorial camp.
