PATRIOTIC APPEAL
Eeferring today to the meeting to be held in the Town Hall Council -.-Chamber tomorrow afternoon, at 4 o'clock, for the purpose of completing the organisation of the Wellington metropolitan area, Major J. Abel, hon. organiser of the £1,000,000 patriotic appeal, said that he hoped there would be among those who were prepared to offer their services people with experience of running outdoor activities, such :as galas and processions. There must be dozens of men with experience of this nature who would be willing to give the benefit of their experience to further the appeal, he said.
C. W. Price and Co. will sell carpets, gas stove, household furniture, etc., in the mart, 91 Dixon Street, tomorrow, at 1.30 p.m. On Wednesday next, at 10.30 a.m., they will sell the contents of six rooms, on the premises, 20 Sussex Street.
