CHURCH PARADE AT LOWER HUTT

A church parade of the various units of Hutt Valley Divisions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was held at Lower Hutt yesterday morning, when 180 members, including the Nursing Division and the cadets, led by the Hutt Valley Pipe Band, marched from the bridge to the Methodist Church, Laings Road. The service was taken by the Rev. P. J. Parker. A psalm was read by Mr. A. J. Ross, of the railway division, and the lesson by Mr. C. F. Falconer, secretary to the Knight Commander and representing Sir Heaton Rhodes, Knight Commander for New Zealand. The. Rev. Mr. Parker spoke on "The Healing Touch of Jesus." _____________
