FOREIGN COIN A GIANT

Foreign Coin, the Lackham—-Foreign Queen gelding recently- purchased by Messrs F. H. Barrell and J. T. Evans and now a member of P. Burgess's team at Trentham, is one of the biggest two-year-olds seen out in the spring in'the Dominion, for many years. He is a very early foal, however, having been born on August 3, 1938, and the weight is well distributed, particularly round his massive hindquarters. Though of a different colour, he is something of the confirmation of Golden Wings as a two year-old, and Golden Wings shares with Mala" the distinction of being the best horse yet left by Lackham.

Foreign Coin was an easy winner at Marto'n recently when making his race debut, and he will not race again till he contests the Wellesley Stakes at Trentham in a fortnight's time. He is a horse who might attain any height of fame if his weight does not. affect his soundness. In the work he has done since arriving at Trentliam he has moved very smoothly and attractively.
