FINAL WRESTLING BOUT.
John Katan will have this final opportunity this season .of winning the British -Empire professional heavyweight title when lie a all meet Earl McCready at the Wellington Town Hall in,the last bout of the year. Not for a long time has there been sucn keen interest in the season's closing stages as there is this year. The New Zealand public has watched the rivalry between McCready and Katan with ever-increasing interest and many tributes were paid to Katan when he succeeded in his quest. He has found the title difficult to hold, however, and his ability and grit have been tested to the ■ utmost. When it seemed that he would pull-through he lost the championship to McGready at Dunedin last week, and now he faces the task of getting it back. Katan as a challenger is a different proposition altogether from Katan as a defending champion, and Monday's bout promises all the thrills that marked his early clashes with McCready. Preliminaries will commence at 8 o'clock and will include a'five-round bout between local professionals.
