FATE OF CREW

NO INFORMATION

Illustrating how close New Zealand was to the war zone in an address last night regarding the formation of a Home Guard, the Minister of National Service, the Hon. R. Semple, mentioned the attack on the Turakina not more than 300 miles from the Dominion, and the loss of another big passenger ship, reports the Westport correspondent of today's "New Zealand Herald." He said that it was not known whether the men on the Turakina were dead or prisoners of war.
