SUGGESTIONS MADE

Notice was given by Mr. L. Glover at today's -meeting of the Wellington Fire Board of his intention to move at tlie next meeting that a committe- be set up to investigate the following suggestions:—Xl) That a two-way , telephone system be installed on all fire engines; (2) that a loud-speaker be installed on the salvage van or some other suitable machine; (3) the methods of fire-plug marking, with a view to recommending a more up-to-date and less expensive method; (4) the advisability of installing a tell-tale alarm or bell so as to check malicious fire calls and to catch the culprits if possible.
