U.S. GETTING BASES WEST COAST DEFENCES VANCOUVER, August 29. The Assistant United States Attor-ney-General, Mr. Norman Littell, announced that an international commission for the co-ordination of the de- j fences of the west coast of Canada and the United States will meet shortly. "It is obvious that United States aeroplanes, patrolling the coastline from Seattle to Alaska, will make good i use of your air bases," he said.
