BLOMFIELD'S TITLE.
John .Katan is not-satisfied with.the manner in which he lost: the British Empire professional heavyweight wrestling title, to * Sergeant-Major
"Lofty" Blomfield recently, and a..return bout will be staged at the Wellington Town Hall.next Monday night. Katan contends that. Blomfield: infringed the rules by making use ;of the ropes when he gained his fall, that the referee was not correct in awarding the fall, and that the break in the middle of the bout owing to the collapse of a post affected his performance so seriously that it was not fair that he should lose his title in such circumstances. Blomfield readily accepted Katan's challenge to a return bout. He said he had no intention of running away from Katan, either in the ring or out of it, and if the Canadian thought he could beat him all he had to do was to try. Blomfield's win over McCready this week has given his supporters greater confidence than ever in his ability to hold the title.
