DR. WILLIAM MALONEY
(Received August 29, 2 p.m.) MELBOURNE,. This Day. The death has occurred of Dr. William Maloney, the oldest member of the Federal Parliament, aged 86 years. He was first elected to the Federal Parliament in 1903 and had held his seat continuously since. In March of last year he completed 50 years as "a member of Parliament. He first entered the Victnrian Parliament in 1889.
The Wellington B grade billiards championship was continued last night at Billiards, Ltd. Bryce (Central) beat Johnson (Working Men's Club), 250----119 Best breaks were: Bryce, 54, 47, 29- Johnson, 28. Jenkins (St. George) beat Lye (G.P.O. Pastimes), 250-198. Best breaks: Jenkins, 20, 24, 21. Tonight's games are:—Townhill (Pastimes Club) v. Atkin, at 7- p.m.; Rabone (V.M.C.A.) v. Jenkins, at 8 p.m.
