U.S.-JAPANESE TENSION
SHANGHAI, July 28. The Japanese-controlled Press bitterly attacked the American embargo on oils and scrap metals, which the "Tairiku Shimpo" says "demonstrates America's conspicuously unfriendly and challenging attitude towards Japan. . . . The tension between Japan and America has reached the final stage where it is difficult to break the deadlock." The "Shin Sumenao" says that undoubtedly Japan will deal a blow to America's aggressive Far Eastern policy.
