ARGUS AND AUSTRALASIAN.
Directors of the Argus and Australasian, Ltd., Melbourne, report a net profit (subject to audit) of £20,122 for the year ended June 30. This compares with a net profit of £12,098 for 1938-39 and a loss of £46,057 for 1937----38. A dividend of Is 1.492d per share on preference shares has been declared, covering the period from the date of allotment, July 23, 1936, to the end of the financial year, June 30, 1937, and calculated at the rate of 6 per cent, per annum.
