FINNISH WAR IN PICTURES

Mme. Gripenberg, wife of the Finnish Minister in London, has returned from a visit to Finland and has brought with her an extraordinarily interesting collection of lantern slides giving a comprehensive view of happenings during the war, says the "Manchester Guardian." She showed them with a running commentary to a meeting of the National Council of "Women. She has brought back messages of gratitude for all the help England gave, and quotes General Mannerheim as saying he had not thought Britain and France would give as much help as they did. "Whenever you get a chance," he added, "tell the people in Great Britain that it is not as bad as it seems." Mme. Gripenberg said that throughout the war the Finnish women kept up their morale and ordered their lives as usual.
