SECOND DIVISION

ATHLETIC AND MIRAMAR

Immediately adapting themselves to the conditions at Athletic Park Athletic won convincingly from Miramar. In the first spell Athletic played against the strong southerly and the best Miramar could manage by way of points in this spell was to score two penalty goals to Athletics two tries. Football in the second" spell was really entertaining and spirited play by the Athletic forwards gave Miramar little opportunity; to pull the game out of the flre. For A.thletic Jamieson, Stevenson, Rowberry, and Jacobs each scored a try, Hammond converting one. Potier kicked the two penalty goals for Miramar. Result: Athletic 14, Miramar 6. Mr. A. Styles was the referee.
