O-Student Prince. Won a double in highweight company, at Trentham in March but disappofinted in Century Hurdles. However, hie has previously proved himself in a lumping role .. - 0 U 031-Survaiyon. Third in the Great Northern Hurdles, and a comfortable winner over two miles on the second day. Appreciates heavy going and a good stayer -• » 9 *■*■ 010-Blue Tiger. Won R&ngitira Hurdles at Awapuni. field including Soho, Curie, and Charade. Has won on course and is a fit 3iorse capable of upsetting under his light weight -.90 Though the Held for the Trentham Hurdles is not large, it is perhaps the most opeai of the day. as every horse has a form chsance. Until two years ago it was not a good race for the favourites, but; Full of Scotch and King Key altered that aspect. Form from Ellerslie has usually been a sound guide, and Jewelled Girdle, Hessketoon. and Survalyon represents winning Auckland form this year. Curie is a Trentham specialist due for a return to winning form, and El Meynell, Student Prince, and Blue Tiger are others fully capable of succeeding. Among those who will be well backed are CURIE, HESSKETOON. and STUDENT PRINCE.
