BRITISH CHILDREN
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Would you kindly tell me if any assistance is to be given to the foster parents who are so willing to care for the British children, as they have to be clothed and fed, perhaps for a few years, or at any rate till the war is over. I may be able to take one later on, as soon as I am strong enough, but we have only a small income, as my husband is in receipt of a little superannuation. This is very small, but I have a comfortable home, and am quite willing to take a child, but clothing would mean a lot to me. If you could give me this information I would be very grateful.—l am, etc.. NOT WELL. [The only assistance contemplated by the Government in this connection is in the way of family allowance, provided the circumstances justify it.]
