Among the most energetic of women war workers are the members of the Wellington Voluntary Aid Detachment, who have taken a prominent part in Red Cross and other efforts calculated to assist the sick, wounded and distressed. The V.A.D.s are furthering the objects of their organisation by holding a shop day at 164 Cuba Street tomorrow. The shop, which has been given rent free for the day, is situated between Ghuznee Street and Vivian Street, and the goods to be disposed of include clothing, foodstuffs, . groceries, and a multitude of articles suitable for an effort of this kind.
