POPULAR PRESIDENT

HON. W. PERRY RE-ELECTED

To the singing of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow," the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., was unanimously re-elected president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association by the delegates attending the annual conference of the association yesterday.

Other officers were elected as follows: —Dominion vice-president, Mr. B. J. Jacobs; district vice-presidents, Messrs. D. J. Gates (Auckland), F. B. Lloyd (Wellington-Nelson-Marlbor-ough), W. Spillane (Canterbury-West-land), and N. H. Colquhoun (OtagoSouthland); hon. treasurer, Mr. J. D. Harper; executive committee, Messrs. A. T. Duncan, H. B. Burdekin, W. E. Leadley, C. W. Batten (Auckland nomination), E. C. Hale (Otago-South-land), G. A. Hayden (CanterburyWestland), C. O. Bell (Wellington-Nelson-Marlfyorough), and H. R. Biss and Lieutenant-Colonel A. Cowles; representative on N.Z.E.F. Canteen and Regimental Funds Trust Board, Colonel M. Aldred; representative on War Pensions Board, Mr. J. D.
