ACCIDENTS
Caught between a motor-lorry and ■a tram, in Cuba Street, at about 8 o'clock this morning, Mr. W. Pavendale, a gardener, of Handiside Road, Tawa Flat, received injuries to his left ribs. When his right hand was caught in a circular saw in a workshop at the rear of his home shortly after 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Mr. G. Watson, a chairmaker, of 17a Lome Street, had the top of his second finger and thumb severed. '. June Rutherford, a scholar, of 83 Karepa Street, Brooklyn, received an injury to her back when she fell at the Technical College early yesterday afternoon. A shipwright, Mr. E. A. Kenny, of | Haumai Road, Johnsonville, received a severe cut on his left leg when he accidently struck it with an adze while working in the New Zealand i Shipping Company's premises, Waterloo Quay, at about 8 o'clock last night. All the injured persons were taken to the hospital by the Free Ambulance.
