VIOLA WINS WOMEN'S RACE
Sailed by Mrs. N. Parkin, the Viola won the keelers' race for women skippers conducted by the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club on Saturday afternoon. The race started at 2.40 p.m. and was sailed in a fresh northerly breeze. Beaults, showing finishing and corrected times, are as follows:—Viola (Mrs. N, Parkin, lOmin), 4h 39m 32b, 4h 20m 325, 1 ; Astral (Miss P. Luke, ISmin), 4h 48m 2s, 4h SOm 2s, 2; Wakarere (Miss E. Blair, scr), 4h 36r0 15b, 4b. 36m 15s, 3; Seahird (25min), 5h 34m 335. 5h 9m 335, 4. Maranui and Gipsy did not finish. : ' ~ : ■ ■ '
