The Wellington Association of Scots Socieities donated fifteen guineas for one sety and those were presented at a function held at Trentham on Tuesday evening.
The question of securing further donations of bagpipes for the Third Echelon has now been taken up by the Wellington Pipe Bands. The .representatives of these bands met oh Tuesday evening, Drum-Major A. Hobson (Pipes and Drums, Ist Battalion, Wellington Regiment) presiding over the meeting. It was unanimously resolved to hold a combined pipe bands' display on April 7, and application is to be made to the City Council for the use of the Basin Reserve.
