HEALTH AND BEAUTY DEMONSTRATION
Three years ago next month Miss Millicent Ward and Miss Caroline Ward came to New Zealand arid instituted the Health and Beauty Movement in the Dominion, with considerable success. There are now 2500 members of the movement, which is affiliated to the Women's League of Health and Beauty in England, and to celebrate their third anniversary Miss Caroline Ward is conducting a demonstration by 40 Wellington members in the Exhibition Assembly Hall on April 17, at 8 p.m. This demonstration will include stretch-and-swing exercises and revived Greek dancing. The demonstration will be accompanied by an address by Miss Ward on the movement and its aims of health, peace, and beauty, as well as the growth of interest in New Zealand among women. Last year a charity performance was arranged by the various branches of the movement in Auckland and was an outstanding success. This year, in Wellington, there will be a massed demonstration in August, when the funds received from it will be allotted to the patriotic fund.
