SALE OF TROTTING STOCK
Several members of iiie trotting stock of the Tamahere owner-breeder "Mr Wilfred Jdhnstone were sold at a dispersal sale at Claudelands last Friday In some cases buyers' values did not reach the reserve, but most of the horses offered were disposed of. Top price of 145 guineas was paid by Mr. S. A. Edwards, of Christchurch. , for Whanako.

Brake (Auckland), 16gs.; Tatamai, to Mr B H Moreland (Cambridge, 40gs.; two-year-old colt by Peter Bingen—Her Ladyship, to Mr. P. J. O'Neill (Hamilton). 17gs.; Guide Peter, to Mr. R. Scotty Direct was .. sold to Mr. R. Chilcott for 130gs. A yearling filly by Swordsman—Gala Day was bought by Mr. R. Vowles (Ngahinepouri) for 45gs. McKendrick Brothers (Auckland) sold Gipsy Light to Mr. T. J. Rogers (Oliaupo), for 21gs,
