INDIAN FRONTIER

DEFENCES IN NORTH-WEST

DELHI, February 11,

The Government is reinforcing the regular troops and civil armed defences on the North-west Frontier districts of Bannu and Kohat, and constructing temporary posts in the hilly country.

The Shabikel, which has been the only remaining tribe on the frontier hostile to the Government, has made peace and furnished cash securities for their good behaviour.
