HAPPY VALLEY TRAGEDY

Grace Rosalie Burch, aged 13, of 40 Happy Valley Road, was found drowned in the bath at her home on Saturday evening. She had spent the day at a Salvation Army picnic at Karori, and returned home at 4.30 p.m. She then told her parents that she was going to take a bath. When her mother knocked on the bathroom door some time later she could get no answer, and the father then broke down the door, which was locked, and found her on her knees in'the bath with her face under water. The girl is understood to have enjoyed . perfect health.
