Mrs. R. G. Casey, wife of the first Australian Minister to Washington, -.vho was to have accompanied her husband to the United States of America in the Monterey, which passed through Auckland this week, was prevented from \ leaving through the illness of her two children. She will follow her husband in a month's time. Lady Hedstrom, Suva, has arrived on a short visit to Auckland. Miss B. Colebrook, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. Harold H. Souter, Lower Hutt. Miss Butler, Wellington, is staying with her sister, Mrs. H. W. Monaghan, "The Vicarage," Timaru. Miss Nancy Gilkison, Invercargill, who has been the guest of Mrs. A. Cramond, Kelburn, left by plane for Invercargill yesterday, accompanied by Miss Noeline Cramond. Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Blundell, Gladstone, have returned to the Wairarapa from a visit to Paraparaumu Beach. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Hanlon, Wellington, are spending a few days in Napier. Mrs. Walter Gray has returned to Wellington from a holiday spent in. Hawke's Bay. Mrs. Douglas Whyte, Karori, who has been staying at Auckland, will return to Wellington this week. Mrs. Nelson Mitchell, Remuera, Auckland, is spending a week in Wellington before continuing her holiday in Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. White, Wellington, are staying at Masterton. Mrs. W. Mackie, Devonport, Auckland, arrived by air yesterday to visit the Exhibition. Miss F. Mills, Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs. H. G. Brown, Beauchamp Street, Karori. Mrs. C. E. Manning, who has been spending the past 18 months in the Dominion, left Auckland on Monday. She will visit Honolulu en route to her home in Salina, Kansas, United States. Mrs. George Wilson and Miss Cherry Wilson, Remuera, have returned to Auckland from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. W. T. Boyd, Pahiatua, is visit-, ing Wellington. Miss K. N. Woodhouse. Palmerston North, is paying a visit to Wellington.

Mrs. A. D. Gillies and Miss M. Gillies, Havelock North, are visiting Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. A. O'Meara and Miss Audrey O'Meara, Hastings, are visiting Wellington for the Dental Conference.
