Dominion enlistments for service overseas with the Second N.Z.E.F. up to February 3, according to the latest returns available, totalled 26,141, which was an advance of 1001 on the total a week earlier. Recruits - medically examined up to February 3 had been classified and dealt with as follows, the corresponding totals a week earlier being shown in parentheses:—Fit, 17,701 (16,940); temporarily unfit, ,2495 (2488); permanently unfit, 2943 (2818); sent to camp, 13,759 (12,683); in reserved occupations and therefore not available, 1585 (1576); balance available for posting to camp, 2102 (2399).
