IRRIGATION IN ITALY
(Received February 6, 11.30 a.m.) ROME, February 5. Signor Mussolini has approved a scheme costing £20,000,000 for irrigation works to serve 2,500,000 acres. The project will be spread over seven years. It will provide for a canal from the sources of the River Po to the Adriatic, serving lands of Emilia and Romagna. Southern Italy will also be widely irrigated and the development of ague- j ducts, which were constructed in the! Roman era. is contemplated. i
