PARAMOUNT THEATRE

Tomorrow's Programme.

Alcatraz has fallen to the magic of the motion picture camera. The impregnable fortress has been exposed for the first time. Audiences now can see "The Rock," as the prison is known in prison parlance, in the dramatic new film, "They All Come Out," which opens tomorrow at the Paramount Theatre. The prison drama was produced with the co-operation of the United States Government. The film provides a dramatic -insight into the Federal prison system as seen in the actual case history of a gang of five differently-typed criminals. One of the gang, a first offender, is sent to the United States Industrial Reformatory at Chillicothe, Ohio, which prison^ too, is pictured for the first time. The female gang member is sent to the women's reformatory at Alderson. Another member, a mental case, is sent to the United States.Hospital for Defective Delinquents at Springfield, Missouri. A fourth member,, the usual type of criminal, goes to the. Federal Penitentiary at Atlanta, Georgia. The fifth member of the gang, an incor- ! rigible, ends up at Alcatraz. All these i prisons are shojyn, although at first the Government^was hesitant in allowing Alcatraz to be filmed. Heading the cast of "They All Come Out'? is Rita Johnson. Others in prominent roles include Tom Neal, Bernard Nedell, Edward Gargan, John Gallaudet, Addison Richards, Frank M. Thomas, George Tobias, Ann Shoemaker, and Charles Lane. Revealing the methods necessary to break a threatened world-wide rubber, monopoly, Universal's newest Richard Arlen, Andy Devine action-drama, "Tropic Fury," will be the second feature. The two stars ride to higher popularity as a team of adventurers in a setting of jungle terror and tropical romance. On the romance side are Beverly Roberts and' Lupita Tovar, who appear to nice advantage as the respective daughters of an eminent scientist, and the brutal ruler of a dark empire. In the cast are Lou Merrill, Leonard Mudie, Noble Johnson, and Adia Kuznetzoff. with Merrill taking the honours as the self-styled. Napoleon of a Guamo dynasty.
