PRINCE CHRISTOPHER OF

GREECE

(Received January 23, 10 a.m.) ATHENS, January 22. Prince Christopher, an uncle of the Duchess of Kent, is dead. • ■

Prince Christopher, who was also an uncle of King George of Greece, was born at St. Petersburg (Leningrad) in 1888. In 1920 he married Mrs. Leeds (nee Miss Stewart, of Cleveland, Ohio). widow of Mr. W. B. Leeds, who died in London in 1923. Prince Christopher was married the second time at Palermo in 1929, to Princess Frances of France. PETTY-OFFICER WILLIAMSON (Received January 23, 12.30 p,m.) -,j LONDON, January 22. The death has occurred of Chief Petty Officer Thomas Williamson, a member of Captain Scott's Antarctic expeditions. He was one of the search party which, found Captain Scott's body. Williamson was blown up when a destroyer was mined in the last war and was badly injured. RUSTAM HAIDAR (Received January 23, 12.30 p.m.)
