I The Hutt Valley Cricket (Association's ninth series of A grade matches was completed last Saturday. Light rain made conditions ideal for the batsmen, and good use was made of them. Five players scored 50 runs or more— S. A. Winyard (Bell Park) 68 not out. J. A. Nash (Upper Hutt) 62, E. Roberts (Eastbourne) 59, T.Gwilliam (Trafalgar Park) 58, and H. Wright (Trafalgar Park) 50 not out. The best bowling performances were by C. Williams (Halvic) six for. 59, W. Milner (Bell Park) five for 6, B. Pobson (Gear United) five for 39, and L. Foley (Eastbourne) five for 57. In the championship competition Trafalgar Park drew level with Eastbourne, who were defeated at Eastbourne by Empire.
