YOUNG PLAYER'S SCORE
A correspondent, "A Follower of the Game," draws attention to a fine performance by D. Walshe, a member of the St. Patrick's College A eighth grade team, in a match against Hutt at,Anderson Park last Saturday. His team won, and young Walshe was mainly, rdsponsible for the win. He made 125 runs out of the side's total of 196, putting on 100 runs in 53 minutes and taking 73 minutes to get his 125. Walshe, says the correspondent, took control of a good attack of fast, medium, and slow bowlers with forceful on, off, and leg strokes, and at the same time played a good defensive innings. Going in second wicket down, he was the last player out. His total included twenty-two 4's and four 6's.
