VISITS TO "HOMEWOOD"

The grounds of "Homewood, residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. Sutherland, are open today till 5 p.m. in aid of the Patriotic Fund. The gardens are among New Zealand's finest. Real enchantment is found in the shady paths of the ferneries. The glow-worm cave is a great attraction, and the aviaries house scores of birds showing the most brilliant plumage. The swimming bath in its picturesque setting and the tennis court are always popular. The begonias in the main conservatory are now a mass of blooms of all shapes and delightful colours.

"Homewood" will be open again tomorrow fend on Monday. Displays of fancy diving, swimming, and tennis will be given by some of Wellington's experts, and tomorrow the Port Nicholson Band will pltjT.
