MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Stated to have a long list df previous convictions, • Patrick Ernest Furlong Collin, a labourer, aged 65, was sentenced to two months! hard labour in the Magistrate^ Court yesterday for stealing a bicycle valued at £4 10s, belonging to Walter Susser, from outside the Wellington Public Library last Friday. George Wells, a labourer, aged 45, and Rita Jean Wells, a domestic, aged 31, were each fined 10s, in default 24 hours' gaol, for*'their second statutory offence of drunkenness. Four first offenders were fined 10s each.
