MR. LLEWELLYN POWYS
(Received December 5, 2.30.p.m.) BERNE, December 4. The death has occurred of the author 'Mr. Llewellyn Powys. Mr. Llewellyn Powys was born in Dorset in 1884 and educated at Sherborne School and Corpus Christi College. Cambridge. In 1914-19 he was a stock farmer in Kenya, and from 1920 to 1925 a journalist in New York. From 1918 onwards he was . bringing out books, and included in his publications are "Black Laughter," 1924; "The Verdict of Bridlegoose," 1926; a book on Henry Hudson, 1937; "Glory of Life,", 1934; and "Life, and Death," 1938. He was a brother of John Cowper Powys and of Tv F.: Powys.
